International Friendship Day (IFD) 2013
East Coast Primary School celebrated International Friendship Day (IFD) on 12 April 2013 (Friday). The objective of this annual National Education (NE) event is to make our pupils more aware of the geo-political realities that are fundamental to Singapore and this year's theme is "The World in Singapore". Singapore has remained inclusive due to our rich and diverse heritage. As such, this sense of inclusiveness has allowed us to thrive as a cosmopolitan city. In light of this, it is important for our pupils to possess cross-cultural skills and a global orientation to enable them to relate to others respectfully and effectively.
